Skiing

Within 8 minutes, the fast télécabine will have you out in some of the best ski terrain in Europe. The alternative, the chair lift from Les Etablons, takes only a few minutes longer and is a good way to clear the cobwebs first thing in the morning. It is certainly quieter!

From the top of Savoleyres at 2,354m you have the choice of the quieter snow sure north facing slopes of La Tzoumaz or across to Verbier’s main runs and snow park.

Snow boarding

With long wide powder fields and steep shoots, the lines you get are sublime. The potential on back country slopes seems endless and the guides are excellent.

If rails, table-tops and big air jumps are your thing then head to the snow park at La Chaux is situated in a lovely sunny bowl. The location itself encourages you to stop and watch the action, while the variety of structures available persuades you to have a go! There is also a camera system set up so your run through the park can be filmed, including your final jump on to the giant air bag!

The park is host, each year, to the Verbier Ride competition.

Tobogganing

The run extends from the top of Savoleyres back down to the télécabine in La Tzoumaz. Toboggans can be rented at the top station or in the village.

Each month, the toboggan run opens on both a Friday and Saturday night for Full Moon sledging. Well worth it if you are lucky enough to be around at the right time. There is also an annual toboggan competition Le Trophee ~ fun to watch, and if your nerves allow, to take part in.
